President Vojislav Kostunica of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia this week accepted the invitation from Yugoslavia’s Roma Community Center to act as patron in events celebrating international Roma Nation Day on April 8. “Such manifestations [and] their symbolic and cultural content are of great importance, both for Roma national minorities and all other citizens [of Yugoslavia] who are making efforts for improvement of their civil and human rights,” the President wrote in his acceptance letter.
