The first ever World Summit of Indigenous Entrepreneurs was held in August in Toronto, Canada, featuring a delegation of officials from the United Nations and business people from over 39 countries. Along with finding a way to balance economic prosperity and preservation of cultural and natural resources, the delegation sought to put an end to cultural theft through encouragement indigenous entrepreneurship.
