Visit OurMotherTongues.org

Noted in the top spot of last week's Scout Report, a publication of The Internet Scout Project, based at the University of Wisconsin, Our Mother Tongues was highlighted as a Research and Education site where visitors can learn "the ways in which Native American languages have recovered and thrived in recent times."  On Our Mother Tongues you will meet speakers, teachers, students, and revitalization advocates from a dozen tribal language communities nationwide, to learn firsthand about their challenges, triumphs, and the joy they experience in discovering the rich nuances and hidden cultural heritage embedded in their Native tongues.  Be sure to send a beautiful (and free) e-postcard in an endangered Native American language to your friends and family to share a postive message about cultural survival, and to alert them to the monumental efforts underway to revitalize endangered Native American languages.
