Following the precedent of Aboriginal First Nations in the Northwest Territories, Yukon aboriginals may seek a share in a proposed Alaska gas pipeline. The proposed pipeline would run through Yukon territory, and like their Canadian counterparts, the tribes desire a fair share in revenues. Grand Chief Ed Schultz says that many factors must be assessed before the tribes make a decision.
