Downtown Miami’s artifact known as the Miami Circle will be temporarily reburied to protect it from the elements deteriorating it since its discovery five years ago. The artifact, believed to have been carved into limestone by Tequesta Indians 2,000 years ago, was found along with about 100 smaller artifacts by archaeologists during a pre-development examination of a downtown lot.
