UNITED STATES: Boston city council calls for repeal of outdated Indian law

Acknowledging the objections of the Muhheconnew National Confederacy, a Native American lobbying group, the Boston City Council has called for the repeal of a 328-year-old law stipulating that all Indians in the city should be jailed. The law was a holdover from colonial days, along with all laws not formally repealed when the state constitution was formed in 1780.
