The Hopi Reservation and Reliant Energy Mesa Visat, LLC have reached a Joint Development Agreement regarding the building of a 1,200-megawatt, dry cooled, coal fired power station in Kykotsmovi, Arizona, within the Hopi homelands. “Clean air and low water use” were the guiding criteria for assessing the impact of the project, said Chairman Taylor.
