THAILAND: Two human rights observers arrested

Two human rights observers, a woman from Canada and another from Australia, were arrested by Thai army personnel on Wednesday, Jan. 28 in Hooh Yoh Akha village in Ampur Mae Faluang, Chiangrai Province. The two women had taken up a post in the village for several days to document the seizure of farm land in Hooh Yoh.
