Thailand’s Upper House of Parliament has presented amendments denying indigenous peoples a voice in the management of their forests, an amendment that will lead to their eventual eviction. The proposed amendments have blocked the draft Community Forest Bill, which recognized the rights of the indigenous people to have control over their land.
