TAIWAN: Truku tribe recognized as indigenous

After overcoming many bureaucratic obstacles over the past 10 years, the Truku tribe of Hualien County will finally be recognized as Taiwan’s 12th indigenous population. The Council on Aboriginal Affairs aims to complete the official procedure by September.
