The Amungme tribal council and human rights groups in Papua have received death threats after investigating a shooting incident, in which two Americans and one Indonesian were killed. The Amungme along with many other indigenous groups in Papua long have suffered from violence and human rights abuses. They are asking the Indonesian government to stop military action in Papua and to begin negotiations with the Papuan people.
