NEW ZEALAND: Ngati Tuwharetoa to enter Waitangi proceedings
Thirty-thousand members of the Ngati Tuwharetoa have together lodged more than 50 claims with the Waitangi Tribunal to historical lands, including rights to the expansive Kaingaroa Forest. Claims’ negotiations are expected to last for two years.
