Hundreds of Amazigh supporters marched throughout Rabat and other Moroccan cities on Labor Day in honor of those Amazigh who have been martyred and imprisoned in Kabylia since last April. The government of Algeria was denounced by the demonstrators for repressing Amazigh civil rights in Kabylia, and was called upon to release prisoners of the Kabyle Grassroots Movement, while the Moroccan government was strongly criticized for its indifference to the Algerian regime’s rights abuses.
