University Tenaga Nasional (Uniten) is the first private university in the country to offer higher education to the Orang Asli children, an indigenous group of Malaysia. Uniten Chairman Datuk Dr. Jamaluddin Jarjis felt that it was their social obligation to assist the government in improving the educational level for the rural indigenous communities.
