A peace rally was held to de-escalate the ongoing violence between pastoralist Orma and agriculturist Pokomo tribes in the northeastern district of Tana River. It was concluded that more arms should be provided to Kenya Police Reservists to protect Pokomo villagers. Nomads will also be restricted by police from entering the area from Kenya ’s North Eastern Province .
