The court case in which the Kenyan government is being sued for appropriating Ogiek forest land has been rescheduled for April 23, following the government’s failure to file a defense. Ogiek attorney Kathurima M’Inoti has served the Minister of Environment with a court order to stop interference with the disputed lands until the case has been heard.
