Around 300 Maasai women from Samburu region in northern Kenya have claimed that they were raped between 1975 and 2000 by British army personnel training in the area. Their British lawyer stated that at least two-thirds of the claims were “likely to be genuine”, and said plenty of medical records and other documents can be brought forward to verify them, in addition to mixed-race children in Samburu. He expects to bring the case to British courts within the next two months.
