At the ongoing Constitutional Congress in Kenya, assistant minister Danson Mungatana called for the delegates to abandon the concept of community-owned lands in their recommendations for a new constitution. Mungatana, the youngest member of the new government, was quoted as saying that most Kenyans were young and did not identify with any particular tribe whose plight “we have failed to recognize.”
