Kenya has agreed to destroy thousands of landmines next year at Archer’s Post military range, located in the heart of pastoralist grazing lands in northern Kenya . Kenyan officials report that there is “no civilian population in the area.” Indigenous herders have been injured in the past due to unexploded ordinances in the area.
