IRAQ : UN Executive Director of Iraq Program Visits Iraqi Kurdistan

Executive Director Benon Sevan recently visited the northern provinces of Suleimanayah, Erbil and Dohuk in an effort to initiate improvements to the oil-for-food program. Discussions are underway in Baghdad to render the program more effective in relieving the humanitarian situation among indigenous Kurds impoverished by sanctions.

Since 1972 Cultural Survival has been advocating for Indigenous Peoples' rights and supporting Indigenous communities’ self-determination, cultures and political resilience.
