INDONESIA: Disputes over land use continue between forestry companies and indigenous groups

A survey conducted by a group of researchers in cooperation with the Indonesian Forum for the Environment (Walhi), the Indonesian Indigenous People Alliance (AMAN), and the Rain Forest Foundation, suggests that military force will not be effective in resolving the numerous forest disputes between lumber companies and Indonesia
