Hundreds of demonstrators demanded justice from the former dictator Efrain Rios Montt -- now the president of the Guatemalan Congress -- for indigenous victims of the 36-year counterinsurgency that ended in 1996. A total of 200,000 people died, mostly indigenous civilians.
