ECUADOR: Three lumberjacks and indigenous Tagaeri die in a fight

The Tagaeris -- an indigenous nation that communicates very little with the outside world -- retaliated against lumberjacks invading their Babataro River homelands. According to local reports, the Tagaeris were avenging the death of one member of their nation, shot by workers in a previous fight. The lumberjacks had already been warned of the danger of working in the Tagaeris homeland.
