Plaintiffs in a case against ChevronTexaco presented a new study as evidence that the company’s oil drilling practices caused 1 billion dollars worth of damage to the people, animals and environment of Ecuador. A decision on the case could take up to a year. Meanwhile, thousands of people continue to live in contaminated areas.
