DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO: Pygmy children receive polio vaccinations

UNICEF recently reported that pygmy children received vaccinations against polio during the first round of a cross-border campaign held from July 25 to 29. Over 682,000 children under the age of five were vaccinated, and those over 6 months old were also given Vitamin A. The vaccines were administered by over 3,000 teams funded by the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization, UNICEF and other international organizations.
