Pygmies have asked the government to conduct a census of their population to improve the implementation of development strategies. This was one of the outcomes of the human rights seminar held in Sibiti, the capital of Lekomou, along with the recommendation that the government should be responsible for recording the births of children and their education, a role the government had during colonial times.
