CHINA: Chinese lawmakers pressure World Bank to help fund a relocation plan in Tibet

Chinese lawmakers ask the World Bank to reconsider their decision not to fund the controversial relocation project in Tibet. The project aims to relocate about 60,000 people in and near Tibet. The government of China is convinced that the project would benefit the local communities and improve their living conditions, as they would be moved from harsh and arid lands to fertile farming areas.
