ACTION ALERT - LET'S SAVE FISH LAKE FOR ALL TIME!

Write a letter now!

The campaign to save Fish Lake from Taseko Mining Company’s proposed “New Prosperity” open pit mine is quickly coming to a critical point. The federal environmental assessment panel has just completed its review of the mine project and will soon be handing its findings to Canada’s Environment Minister for a final decision. Now is the time to get as many letters as possible in to Canada’s Environment Minister demanding that Taseko’s proposed mine be turned down, and that Fish Lake be saved.

The Tsilhqot’in National Government is strongly opposed to the New Prosperity mine proposal, and have said that it infringes on their aboriginal rights. To see what’s at stake and find out more about what the Tsilhqot’in people are doing to protect their territory, watch this video:

Help us spread the word! Share this action alert far and wide.

We want our government to see that people all across Canada want Fish Lake to be saved. And we want Ottawa to understand that the whole world is watching, too – so please forward this to your friends, family, colleagues and interested organizations worldwide. Together we can protect Fish Lake and the rest of the Tsilhqot’in people’s beautiful territory.
