Cambodia announced its decision to close two refugee camps housing the indigenous Montagnard refugees from Vietnam. In addition, Cambodia will cease protecting and providing temporary asylum for these indigenous peoples. Human Rights Watch expressed a great concern regarding Cambodia’s decision and requested that Vietnamese government cease its repression of the indigenous Montagnards and allow their safe return back to the country.
