The European Court of Human Rights has found Bulgaria responsible for the deaths of two Roma men, shot by military police in 1996. The court ruled that the deaths and subsequent investigation by the Bulgarian authorities violated two articles of the European Convention on Human Rights, providing the right to life and guarantee against racial discrimination.
