BRAZIL: Meeting focuses on Xavante land problems

Scholars, Brazilian authorities, and indigenous leaders met last week in Cuiaba to discuss a land conflict involving the Xavante in Mato Grosso. Despite the demarcation of lands for the Xavante in 1998, many people still live on the side of major highway in the region.
