The 3,000 Guarani and Kaiowa indigenous peoples who invaded and occupied 14 ranches in the Mato Grosso do Sul region have ended their protest peacefully. The Brazilian government has agreed to work toward making the area an indigenous reserve, which angers many non-native settlers in the area.
