BANGLADESH: Jumma demand seperate government ministry

Indigenous populations in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, collectively known as the Jumma, demanded a seperate governmental ministry for their own development to recongnize their language and to protect their culture. According to News from Bangledesh indigenous leaders stated their demands on Aborigene's Day, Friday Feburary 4 at the Nachote Degree college playground in Bangladesh. They also pressed for for recognized rights to land and protection of indigneous cultures. It is unclear how the Bangali government will repond to their demands.
