A $17,000 grant was recently approved by the South Australian government to pay for Aboriginal elders from the western coast to travel to Uluru, to forge stronger ties with indigenous youth. The nine day trip will take forty elders and Aboriginal High School students to the Northern Territory. The grant also includes money for an elder/student education curriculum, and a senior physical fitness program.
