Rail constructor Adrail recently released a report detailing its employment statistics regarding Aboriginal workers. The figures released are the result of an arrangement by parties jointly interested in the progress and further development of the Northern region. The creation of jobs is strengthening the local economy, and the training given to Aboriginal people, is regarded as an invaluable benefit in the long term. Already, 127 indigenous people are employed in top-level positions at Adrail, with a further 124 participating in training courses. The National Labor Commission has also developed a database of indigenous people with appropriate skills for future jobs.
