On July 14, Silverton NSW hosted a large anti-nuclear protest. Hundreds of activists and several indigenous groups demonstrated against the transporting and storing of nuclear waste. Various indigenous groups had a chance to voice their concerns regarding uranium mines and toxic waste dumps on their land, and build alliances with like-minded non-indigenous people.
