ARGENTINA: Indigenous peoples engage in lawsuit against local tourist resorts

The leader of the indigenous peoples of Quilmes, Francisco Solano Chaile, has pleaded for the revocation of the provincial government licence which allows the holders commercial rights in their sacred city, located in Tucuman. According to Mr. Solano, a Royal Writ from the Spanish king, dated 1776, grants ownership of those lands to the indigenous peoples of Quilmes.
