Northern Arapaho's Hinono'eitiino'oowu New York Times Coverage

Hinono'eitiino'oowu, "The Arapaho Language Lodge" K-1 grade school, which inaugurated its new facility on October 3, received comprehensive coverage in the Friday, October 17, edition of the New York Times.  The Times' Rocky Mountain Bureau Chief Dan Frosch and photographer Kevin Moloney attended the school's grand opening celebration, which included a "fun run/walk" for the school children, the Arapaho flag song and Eagle Song by the tribe's Eagle Drum, student presentations in the Arapaho language, and speeches by members of the Northern Arapaho Council of Elders, Business Council, and Language and Culture Commission.
