UNITED STATES: N-Aquifer alternative still contested

On December 15, the Navajo Nation Council’s Intergovernmental Relations Committee (IGR) met to discuss the proposed Coconino Aquifer as a replacement for the Navajo Aquifer in Peabody’s mining operations. The IGR will tour the Peabody mines on January 8 to investigate the situation.
