A recent health card renewal form sent out in Nunavut simply instructed Nunavummiut in French and Inuktitut to fill out the English side of the form, rather than providing a true multilingual document, as required under law. This is one of many signs that language laws need further enforcement and clarification, many residents say. A year-long legislative committee review of the Official Languages Act will be concluded soon.
