A federal grand jury recently indicted the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, specifically naming six of its members for the kidnap and murder of the indigenous rights activists Ingrid Washinawatok, Terence Freitas and Lahe’ena’e Gay in March 1999. The group was visiting northeastern Colombia at the invitation of the U’wa tribe.
