NIGERIA: Over 100 dead after Fulani and Yungar clash

The Red Cross has reported that more than 100 people have died in fighting after an attack by Fulani herders on Yungar farmers early this week. The clashes in the northeastern state of Adamawa erupted over land disputes between the Fulani pastoralists and Yungar and Hausa communities. Army and police forces brought a measure of calm to the region, but the Red Cross says that 21,000 people have been displaced by the episode.
