UNITED STATES: Wisconsin tribes purchase land for protection
On December 6th, the Forest Country Potawatomi and the Mole Lake Band of Sokaogon Chippewa purchased property slated for mining from the Northern Wisconsin Resources Group. The $16.5 million investment will protect the land from development.
