Diavik, a mining giant affiliated with the infamous BHC Billiton, opened a new mine on July 19th after signing agreements with five aboriginal groups. The terms of the agreement include a 40% aboriginal workforce, whereof most aboriginals have been relegated to the lowest rungs.
