Cultural Survival’s sources report that Mbororo rights campaigners Ousman Haman, Isa Adamou, and Yunusa Mbaghoji were freed from prison on March 23 by North-West Cameroon’s Court of Appeals in Bamenda. The three men, who had each faced a 10-year prison term, were imprisoned by a military tribunal in April 2002 for opposing a rancher who sought to takeover Mbororo land.
