The large-scale project of a gas pipeline in the Amazonia region has led indigenous organizations and environmentalist groups to protest against the company Petrobas, responsible for the implementation of the Uructu-Porto Velho gas pipeline. Around 90 percent of the construction passes through Amazonian areas, traveling a length of more than 520 kilometers.
