The first collection center for Aboriginal cord blood will be established at the Royal Darwin Hospital and the Territorial Health Department says it is developing an educational campaign to inform indigenous women about the donation and use of cord blood. The new collection center will help provide compatible stem cells for Aboriginal patients undergoing transplants.
