Polina Shulbaeva

Polina Shulbaeva (Selkup, a Taiga Peoples) is from Siberia, Russia. Since 2013, she has served as the Russia Indigenous Coordinator for the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity (IIFB) at the Convention on Biodiversity (CBD) process/Center for Support of Indigenous Peoples of the North (CSIPN). From 2006 to 2014, Polina worked as Director of the Legal Informational Center of Indigenous Peoples of the North in the Tomsk “Swallow” region. Since 2016, she has been a facilitator for international activities of the Aborigen Forum, an independent Russian network of Indigenous leaders, experts, and organizations. She is a member of the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity (IIFB) and the Indigenous Women Biodiversity Network (IWBN).
