The Anangu, the traditional owners of Uluru (Ayers rock), have been collaborating with the University of Melbourne to create a database of the rock art sites around Uluru. In addition to photos and sketches of the art, videos will record various Anangu relating the story of the site. The database is a way of protecting the Anangu culture from vandalism, weathering, and time.
