WORLD: Indigenous peoples call for full participation in climate change policies

The 6th International Indigenous Peoples’ Forum on Climate Change was held on November 29-30 in Milan, Italy. The Milan Declaration demands full participation of indigenous peoples in the climate change process, the establishment of a Working Group of Indigenous Peoples and Climate Change in the UNFCCC, and the inclusion of a permanent agenda item on Indigenous Peoples and Climate Change in the COPs and its Subsidiary Bodies.
